This workshop is designed for actors with some prior training or theatre experience. This is not suited for someone just starting out.
Unless otherwise arranged participants will be assigned their scene and their scene partner following an online interview. Scenes will be selected from modern classics and contemporary work. Plays will be available in PDF format.
In order to curate a group of actors with a commensurate skill level, there will be a screening process based upon your letter of application and Training/Acting CV. The desire is to create a group of 10 that can be well paired and offer a learning experience at all times.
( If I receive a large number of applications and can find a space I would consider doing a second class during the same period).
I would love to think that I could get everyone up to work every single week but from past experience I find that not usually achievable. Rushing to squeeze in a final scene helps no one, so in addition to the initial cold read in Week 1 I will schedule you to present your scenes 3 times over 4 weeks.
